Last checked: October 2026. Website builders change their features and prices often, so check each company’s own website before you decide.

Wix is a flexible, general-purpose website builder; VibeToApp builds a complete site for a local business from its name in about a minute and lets you edit it by typing. Which one is better depends on how much time you want to spend and how much design control you need.

If you run a bakery, salon, cleaning company or corner shop, you’ve probably heard of Wix. It’s one of the best-known website builders around. VibeToApp is a newer tool built for one specific job. Yes, we make VibeToApp, so we’ve tried to be extra fair to Wix.

The short version

  • Wix lets you build almost any kind of site and control the design in detail. It also offers an AI Website Builder: you describe your site, it creates one, and you refine it by asking its AI assistant, Aria, or in the drag-and-drop editor.
  • VibeToApp is narrower on purpose. You type your business name, it builds a complete first version of your site, and you change things by typing what you want (“make the headline warmer”, “add our Saturday hours”). It’s designed for owners who don’t want to learn a website tool.

How do you build a site with each?

With Wix you start from a template or from its AI Website Builder, then edit in a drag-and-drop editor or by asking its AI assistant; with VibeToApp you start from your business name and edit by chatting.

Wix: you move blocks, change fonts and colors, and add pages and sections, or ask its AI assistant to make changes. It’s powerful, and there’s a lot to learn if you want to use all of it.

VibeToApp: it looks up public information about your business, writes the text, picks a design and photos, and builds the site. Then you edit by typing. You don’t place elements by hand. That’s faster for most owners but gives you less pixel-level control than a drag-and-drop editor.

Which gives more design control?

Wix gives you more design freedom. If you have a very specific look in mind and enjoy tweaking layouts, that matters. VibeToApp fills in a set of professionally designed section layouts for you, so sites look clean and work well on phones, but you can’t drag things to any position you like.

What about features beyond a basic site?

Wix has a large app market and built-in options for things like online stores, bookings and blogs. As of October 2026, accepting payments, selling online and taking bookings start with Wix’s Core plan; the free and Light plans don’t include them. If you need a full online shop with many products today, Wix (or a dedicated store platform) is likely the better fit.

VibeToApp focuses on what a local business site needs: services and prices, opening hours, photos, location, a contact form (messages arrive in your dashboard), and publishing on your own domain. It doesn’t try to be everything.

How do the prices compare?

The two work differently. Wix has a free plan with Wix branding. VibeToApp has no free plan: building and previewing your site is free, and you pay when you publish it. Check both pricing pages yourself, because prices change, sometimes several times a year.

Who should pick which?

Wix may suit you better if:

  • you enjoy designing and want detailed control over every element,
  • you need a large online store, or features from a big app marketplace,
  • you’re happy to spend some evenings learning the editor.

VibeToApp may suit you better if:

  • you want a good-looking site ready today, without learning a tool,
  • you’d rather describe changes in plain words than drag boxes around,
  • your site is mainly “who we are, what we offer, when we’re open, how to reach us”.

The bottom line

Both let you try for free, so the most honest advice is to try both with your real business details and see which one you’re happier with after an hour. With VibeToApp, type your business name on the home page and you’ll see a first version in about a minute.
